Funding Your Project

Steve Wells Associates can prepare and submit funding applications on behalf of your organisation. This would typically include:

  • leading stakeholder consultation and developing partnership agreements
  • producing sports development plans
  • providing detailed programmes of use supported by an agreed pricing policy
  • producing business and management plans with income and expenditure forecasts
  • completing all on-line application forms

Many of our schemes also require professional expertise to develop the technical element of a project required by a funder. We can provide a wraparound service that covers all aspects of preparing and submitting a bid with a technical resolution that covers:

  • preparing detailed designs
  • securing planning approvals
  • developing contract documents and manage the tender process
  • undertaking all design team, contract administration, principal designer (CDM) duties

All grant applications require partnership funding. Many or our clients are able to contribute to project capital costs from their own budgets, and in the case of voluntary sports clubs, from their fundraising efforts. Combining grant funding streams provides opportunities of levering in partnership funding.

Steve Wells Associates has a strong track record of delivering successful bids across a range of different funders including the Football Foundation, Sport England, land fill tax bodies (FCC Communities, Veolia) and Section 106 funding.

We are particularly proud of our extensive experience with Football Foundation projects, having drawn down over £43 million in funding from successful applications in the last few years.
